La Velle's Collective is a women's clothing store comprised of thoughtfully curated items, picked with you in mind.
My name is Lindsay Walling. I am a wife, mother of two boys (ages 5 and 3) and full time Speech-Language Pathologist. After years of putting my dreams of starting a boutique aside, I launched La Velle's Collective in May of 2018. I have always had a love for fashion, that has been handed down through the generations. In fact, the name La Velle comes from my maternal grandmother Ada La Velle, who rocked jet black hair, gold tennis shoes, oversized sunglasses and a leopard coat until she passed away in 2015. Fashion has always brought joy to my life, and although I love my job as a speech language pathologist, this online store is providing an opportunity to explore a passion that was beginning to be a bit neglected due to the craziness of life.
After becoming a mother of 2 boys, and working full time, I felt my personal style begin to fall by the wayside. There wasn't any time to shop alone and taking 2 boys on a trip to the mall didn't quite allow for the thorough browsing and lengthy try on sessions needed to find clothes that were not only trendy and cute, but also "mom" and "real life" appropriate.
The more I looked around trying to find clothes that worked for me, there seemed to be a gap between the fashion made for the 20 something, college woman and the older retired woman. I wondered if there was a happy medium out there, but it seemed to have been missing. My goal at La Velle's Collective is to make women's lives easier by having a one stop shop to depend on when looking for items that have already been well thought out in regard to form and function.
I want to spend the time curating a collection of items that you love, so you don’t have to.
